DIY Boots

This is an easy DIY to recycle an old pair of boots

Step one: you will need an old pair of boots, scissors a glue gun, 2 belts, feather trim and some fabric
Step two: I cut my boots so they are ankle boots and rolled the leather over
Step three: cut 2 strips of fabric and glue or tie it around your boot
Step four: attach your belts, you can use different belts and you can use more than one belt per boot
Step five: I glued some feather trim on the inside of the belt to give the boots a more bohemian feel.

You can also add some beads or old necklaces round your boots and viola, a custom pair of boots.

The boots look great! I definitely feel the need to do that now, that is, when I get tired of a pair of old boots.

I so love what you did with the boots here! Wonderful mix of materials, particularly those feathers peeking out from under the cuffs. I had been scouring the web for interesting boots (not just plain old leather) and here I see now, it's better to DIY! xxx
